Hubert Li

Principal Scientist I - Application Science

Hubert Li is a seasoned scientist with extensive experience in application science, currently serving as Principal Scientist I at Schrödinger since September 2016, after holding the position of Senior Scientist in the same department. Prior experience includes time at the City of Hope Irell & Manella Graduate School of Biological Sciences from June 2008 to September 2016, where Hubert completed a PhD in Biological Sciences and contributed to significant research on G-protein coupled receptors (GPCRs). Key achievements during this tenure involve winning first place in the GPCR Dock 2010 competition and developing the LITiCon toolkit for GPCR structure optimization. Earlier, Hubert worked as an Engineering Intern at Sequenom and conducted undergraduate research at UC San Diego, where a focus was placed on the effects of tissue extracts on lymphocyte activity in a hypertensive rat model. Hubert holds a PhD from the City of Hope Irell & Manella Graduate School of Biological Sciences, a Certificate in Bioscience Management from Keck Graduate Institute, and a Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering: Biotechnology from UC San Diego.
