Jonathan Jou is a Senior Developer at Schrödinger since December 2020, with extensive experience in computational protein design and algorithm development. Prior to this, Jonathan served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Duke University from August 2011 to November 2020, where significant contributions included developing a UI plugin for the PyMOL visualizer, creating efficient algorithms for data analysis, mentoring PhD students, and computationally designing peptides to combat SARS-CoV-2. As a Graduate Research Assistant, Jonathan completed a PhD with a focus on novel computational algorithms, leading to several publications. Additionally, Jonathan founded Gavilán Biodesign and played a key role in raising $4M during the IndieBio accelerator program. Earlier career experience includes working as a Software Development Engineer at Microsoft. Jonathan holds a PhD and a BS in Computer Science from Duke University.
