Jongrock Kong

Jongrock Kong is currently the Sr. Director of Process Chemistry at Schrödinger, where they develop chemical processes for preparing active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) and lead a high-performing team to support ongoing drug development programs. They have a robust background in chemical process development, focusing on both small and large-scale procedures utilizing various analytical techniques. Jongrock earned a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from The University of Texas at Austin and has previously held positions at Merck, including Associate Principal Scientist and Principal Scientist. Their academic journey also includes a postdoctoral fellowship at Princeton University and advanced degrees from POSTECH and Sungkyunkwan University.
