”In the year 1733, a son was born in Eckersdorf: Johan Georg Schroll…”, thus begins the history of the Schroll family. Johan Schroll became castle gardener at Donndorph Castle at Eckersdorf, Germany. Later he emigrated to Denmark, where he in 1755 became head gardener at Hagenskov Estate – at the southern part of the island of Funen.
 
That’s how the horticultural history of the SCHROLL family started, and in 1998 the SCHROLL® Hydrangea production was founded. We are today among the largest producers with our own breeding program and locations in both Denmark and Portugal.

We have been dedicated to Hydrangea since 1998 - and are now among the worlds leading producers with more than 500.000 m2 of production area. 
We keep aiming higher - every day - always to deliver better Hydrangeas to the market.
