Chris Rector

Chris Rector is a seasoned software engineer currently employed at SciTec, Inc. since July 2022, following a role as a Graduate Research Assistant at Old Dominion University where contributions were made to advanced algorithms for mesh generation and quantum computing research. Prior military experience includes serving as a US Navy Corpsman specializing in diving and hyperbaric treatment from June 2017 to August 2022. Additional experience comprises a Control Systems Engineering internship at Vita Inclinata Technologies focusing on aerospace motion equations, and a Student Assistant position at the University at Buffalo where a mechanical engineering curriculum was developed. Chris Rector holds a PhD in Computer Science from Old Dominion University (expected 2026), a Master of Science in Computer Science from the same institution, and dual undergraduate degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Mathematics from the University at Buffalo.
