Malene Jensen has extensive experience in the life sciences industry. Malene began their career in 1994 as a Scientist/PhD student at Karolinska Institute, where they conducted research in clinical neuroscience. In 2001, they became a Project Engineer at AEC AB, and then joined AstraZeneca R&D in 2006 as Group Manager, Neuroscience Early Clinical Development. Malene held various roles at AstraZeneca, including Study Delivery Director, Study Delivery Program Leader, and Study Delivery Leader. In 2012, they founded and became CEO of Caliti Group AB, where they provided project, program and portfolio management, collaboration management and operational strategy and expertise within clinical development. In 2014, they joined Karolinska Institutet, Innovation Office as a Project Leader, where they increased knowledge of Drug Discovery and Development and increased collaboration between industry and academia. In 2016, they became Director Clinical Programs at Affibody AB. In 2019, they joined Sedana Medical as Director Global Clinical Development and Director Clinical Development North America. Currently, they are Vice President Clinical Development at Medivir AB.
Malene Jensen obtained their PhD in Clinical Neuroscience from Karolinska Institutet between 1994 and 1999. Prior to that, they obtained their MSc in Molecular Biology from Stockholm University between 1990 and 1994. Malene also attended S:t Jacobi between 1986 and 1989. Additionally, they hold a PMP Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute, PMI.
