Vito Angona

Vito Angona has been working in the high technology sector since 1998. In 2021, they began serving as Managing Director of SciAps Inc. Prior to this, they were the Founder and CEO of VIA Instruments GmbH in 2020, a consultancy and venture capital company with a special focus on small and start-up entities in the high technology sector. From 1998 to 2007, they were the Global Sales and Service Director of Hitachi High-Tech Analytical Science. Before that, they had experience as an application engineer and sales manager at Spectro in Germany. In 1998, they also co-founded WAS AG, a company in the field of instrumental analysis with a special focus on mobile and stationary Optical Emission Spectroscopy. In 2007, WAS AG was acquired by Oxford Instruments and they were appointed as MD of the German OES site with additional responsibility for Global Sales and Service for all Industrial Analysis (IA) Products.

Vito Angona attended the University of Duisburg-Essen from 1984 to 1990 and obtained a Diplom-Physik-Ingenieur degree in the field of Physics.
