Gary Townsend

Gary Townsend is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience spanning over three decades in various roles. Currently serving as Financial Controller at Science Group since March 2022, Gary previously held key positions such as Head of Management Accounts at G's Group and Financial Controller for both Science Group and Cambridge Education Group, managing financial reporting, audits, budgeting, and treasury functions. Gary's earlier experience includes significant leadership roles at Volac International Ltd and Volvo Construction Equipment, overseeing large finance teams and driving strategic financial initiatives across multiple countries. Gary holds a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Bristol and is a qualified ACCA member.
