Science & Technology Advancement Center (STAC)
Advancing science, technology, and critical thinking for EVERY learner.

We’re an educator-founded nonprofit research and professional-learning hub that helps K-12 systems design and deliver equitable, future-ready science experiences. From AI-powered assessment tools to hands-on technology workshops, featuring probeware and other emerging innovations, we integrate cutting-edge solutions with three-dimensional standards to ignite curiosity and deepen understanding.

What we do
• Curriculum & Assessment: NGSS mapping, phenomena-based storylines, performance-level descriptors, and AI-enhanced formative & summative tasks.
• Professional Learning & AI Teacher Training: immersive workshops that demystify artificial intelligence, Universal Design for Learning, and phenomena-based sensemaking. Onsite, virtual, or hybrid options available.
• Research & Impact Evaluation: collaborative studies measuring learning gains, accessibility, and equity in STEM classrooms.
• Consulting & Custom Solutions: district and state partnerships, special-education adaptations, and turnkey classroom-technology integrations (AI platforms, probeware, and more).

Why STAC
Our team brings 30 + years of classroom, state-level assessment, and ed-tech expertise. We pair evidence-based instructional design with phenomena-based sensemaking and modern tools so teachers can focus on what matters most: student understanding and scientific thinking.
