Brian Burg

Brian Burg has extensive experience in research and development within the medical device sector, currently serving as Director of R&D at Science since June 2024, continuing work on Pixium Vision's PRIMA product. Previously, in a similar role at Pixium Vision S.A. from 2021 to 2024, Brian was responsible for all R&D activities following the company's acquisition by Science. As Program Director at Affluent Medical from 2019 to 2021, Brian managed the development of two Class III medical devices, including a pivotal trial for the KALIOS adjustable mitral ring. Additionally, Brian held roles at CorWave as Senior R&D Manager, at Wyss Zurich as Project Leader for liver perfusion technology, and as a Research Associate at IBM with a focus on energy efficiency. Brian holds a Doctor of Science and a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from ETH Zürich, as well as postdoctoral studies in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
