Tyson Kim serves as an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology and Academic Director of Refractive Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco, within the UCSF-UC Berkeley Graduate Group in Bioengineering, and holds an affiliate faculty position at the Francis I. Proctor Foundation for Research in Ophthalmology. Additionally, Tyson Kim is a member of the Scientific Advisory Board for Science since September 2021. Prior experience includes a fellowship at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, residency at Kellogg Eye Center, and a preliminary internship at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Tyson Kim holds an MD-PhD from the University of California, San Francisco, a PhD in Bioengineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from UC San Diego.
