Patrick McHugh

EVP & Group Chief Executive, Lottery at Scientific Games

Patrick “Pat” McHugh was named Executive Vice President, Group Chief Executive, Lottery, in December 2018. Mr. McHugh is responsible for Scientific Games’ global lottery business, including instant products, systems, digital and sports betting.

With more than 25 years of industry expertise, Mr. McHugh has served lotteries in markets around the world directing complex gaming systems technology deployments, operations, new business initiatives and strategic product development.

A leading industry advocate for the convergence of traditional and digital lottery products and technology, Mr. McHugh joined Scientific Games in 2004 and most recently held the position of Senior Vice President Global Lottery Systems, Lottery. Mr. McHugh led many of Scientific Games’ strategic industry firsts, including expanded distribution channels, cashless payments, sports betting, new network technology, iLottery and other digital lottery platforms.

Mr. McHugh previously held the position of Vice President, North American Operations for Scientific Games. He also directed large scale systems and software projects for IGT Online Entertainment Systems (acquired by Scientific Games).

Mr. McHugh holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Operations Technology from Northeastern University and a graduate certificate from the Columbia Business School Senior Executive Program.
