Richard Wise

Principal Research Engineer, Autonomy Systems Group at Scientific Systems

Richard Wise currently serves as a Principal Research Engineer in the Autonomy Systems Group at Scientific Systems, where expertise includes advising on the SESU program and developing the CMA software for multi-vehicle cooperative tasking. Significant contributions include multi-vehicle cooperative search and TDOA localization optimization behaviors, as well as participation in over 15 flight tests involving class 3 UAVs. Prior to this role, Richard Wise was an LT in the US Navy, functioning as an Assistant Engineering Officer for SSN 754 and an Associate Professor of Naval Science at the University of Washington. Richard Wise holds a PhD in Aeronautics & Astronautics Engineering and a MS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington, alongside a BS in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder.
