Laura Baker

Laura Baker has extensive experience in technical support and scientific research, currently serving as a Technical Support Specialist at SCIEX since July 2013, providing mass spectrometry users with assistance through various digital platforms. Additionally, Laura has contributed as a Contract Technical Writer, crafting marketing materials and ensuring content compliance for an international scientific instrument company. This role is complemented by a position as Newsletter Co-editor for the Global Alliance for Rabies Control, where Laura creates and revises public health documents. Prior roles include Business Manager at the Waldorf School of Pittsburgh, where financial operations were managed, and various postdoctoral fellowships focused on mass spectrometry and protein research at the University of Pittsburgh and the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Laura holds a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Wake Forest University School of Medicine and a BS in Chemistry from the University of Puget Sound.
