Patrick Carr

Patrick Carr, Ph. D., is an accomplished Product Development Scientist at SCIEX since April 2021, specializing as a subject matter expert in triple quadruple detection systems and advancing detection technology through simulation and prototype hardware testing. Prior experience includes roles as a Hardware Verification Specialist and Chemistry Lab Instructor at the University of Waterloo, where Patrick guided students in computational chemistry and data analysis techniques. As an International Sessional Lecturer at Beijing Jiaotong University, Patrick effectively taught spectroscopy and thermochemistry, leveraging a strong reputation from earlier positions as a Graduate Researcher and Teaching Assistant, where complex instrument development was undertaken. Patrick holds a PhD in Physical Chemistry from the University of Waterloo and a Certificate in Python Foundations from Conestoga College, supplemented by a Bachelor's of Science in Chemistry from the University of Waterloo.
