SciMingo 🦩 is a dynamic non-profit based in Brussels, dedicated to science communication. We work with bright minds from all fields of science. Our mission? To help them get their research, insights, and expertise out there, beyond academia.

Concretely, here's what we do:

📣 We give researchers a platform to share their work and engage with different audiences, through projects like the Vlaamse Scriptieprijs, the Vlaamse PhD Cup, SciComm Clips, and the Wetenschapsfestival Brussel (part of the yearly Dag van de Wetenschap).

👩🏽‍🏫 We offer courses (in Dutch and English) to help researchers develop their science communication skills, through our SciComm Academy.

🤦🏼‍♂️ We highlight and celebrate the true trial-and-error nature of scientific research through our podcast 'Missen is Wenselijk' ("Missing is Desirable"), featuring authentic fail stories from researchers.

🤝 We connect researchers and journalists, bridging science, press, and the public.

🙌 Our goal is to help a new generation of researchers recognize the value of science communication early in their careers, and give them the tools to act on it. In doing so, we hope to build a lasting culture of science communication across academia, so that research can reach society more fully and public support for science keeps growing.
