William Yao

William Yao has a diverse work experience in various technology roles. William started their career as a Software Engineer at Onclick Corp in 2001 and later worked as a Principle Software Engineer at Sujam, LLC from 2005 to 2007. In 2007, they became a Solution Architect at modernfeed.com, leading the design and engineering of various components of projects. From 2010 to 2012, William served as the Director of Engineering at Swirl by DailyCandy/Division of Comcast Interactive Media, managing a software engineering team and leading development in e-commerce. William then held the position of Director of Technology at Teeology from 2012 to 2012, overseeing a mixed on/offshore team and building a PHP-based e-commerce platform. In 2013, William became the Director of Software Engineering at StyleSaint, focusing on technology development and setting up operation processes. From 2015 to 2016, they served as the VP of Engineering at livinghealthy.com, taking over engineering responsibility and ensuring timely product delivery. In 2016, they briefly worked as the VP of Software Engineering at Atypical Brands, LLC. Currently, they are the Director of Technology at Dr. Schulze's American Botanical Pharmacy. Alongside their work experience, William has also founded SCIT, an organization involved in prototyping and building various product ideas.

William Yao received a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering from the Shanghai Institute of Technology from 1991 to 1995. William then pursued their Masters in Computer Science at the University of Houston-Clear Lake from 2000 to 2003.
