Daniel James currently serves as the Head of Applications and Global Presales Manager at SciY since January 2025. Prior to this role, Daniel was the Global PreSales and Services Manager at Arxspan from July 2022 to September 2025, and held positions at Dotmatics from January 2020 to July 2022 as Principal Solution Engineer for EMEA PreSales, as well as Application Science Team Leader. Between July 2011 and January 2020, Daniel worked as the Principal Informatics Manager at Cancer Research UK Beatson Institute. Daniel's career began at Upstate as a Bioinformatician/Project Manager from 2003 to 2006, following a role as Bioinformatician at VLA from 2002 to 2003. Daniel holds an MRes in Bioinformatics from the University of Glasgow (2001-2002) and a BSc in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the same institution (1997-2001). Education was completed at Balerno High School from 1990 to 1996.
