Malcolm Harris

Mr. Harris, Associate Director of State Campaigns, manages the Caring Across Generations California-based campaign, “CA Care Can’t Wait”. This statewide, Black-centered campaign is focused on creating a whole community and family system of care that links the issues impacting California’s paid and unpaid caregivers: longterm-supports and services, paid leave, and childcare. Born and raised in Oakland and based in South Central since the mid-90s, Mr. Harris has been a community, labor, and coalition organizer moving campaigns around California and the country. Mr. Harris is proud to join the SCLARC Board because it aligns with his personal and professional vision to create a stronger South LA and California.
