Allison Ryan

Allison Ryan is an experienced Teen Services Librarian currently employed at the Somerset County Library System of New Jersey since July 2021, following a similar role at The Ocean County Library from July 2017 to July 2021. Previous positions include School Library Media Specialist at the Franklin Township Board of Education, where management of both physical and online library resources was key, as well as providing library instruction to younger students. Additional experience includes serving as a Substitute Teacher at East Brunswick Public Schools and a Student Teacher specializing in technology instruction. Allison's background also features roles with the Girl Scouts of Central & Southern NJ, where responsibilities included program management at Camp Sacajawea, and as a Bookseller at Barnes and Noble. Educational qualifications include a Master of Library & Information Science from Rutgers University and a BA in History and Women and Gender Studies.
