Nick Cavanaugh

Nick Cavanaugh is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in atmospheric dynamics and data analysis. As the founder of Sensible since July 2019, Nick leads innovative initiatives in their field. Prior to this venture, Nick served as a Weather/Energy Analyst at Citadel from May 2018 to July 2019 and worked as a Weather Data Scientist at Cumulus Fund, which was acquired by Citadel, from June 2016 to May 2018. Nick's academic background includes a postdoctoral fellowship at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory from October 2014 to May 2016 and research as a graduate student at Scripps Institution of Oceanography from September 2010 to October 2014. Educational qualifications include a BASc in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, alongside a Master's and a PhD in Atmospheric Dynamics and Physics from UC San Diego.
