Serena Wright is a data-driven professional and the Lead Researcher at Scope, the disability equality charity. With over 15 years of experience in mixed-methods academic research and impact, Serena previously served as a Lecturer in Criminology at Royal Holloway, where they lectured on various criminology programmes and supervised postgraduate research. They hold a PhD in Criminology from the University of Surrey, where their doctoral thesis focused on women's re-offending across the life course. Serena has also contributed to the criminal justice field through roles such as an Independent Domestic & Sexual Violence Advocate and as a Trustee for the Griffins Society, supporting initiatives aimed at improving the treatment of women and girls in the system.
