Madoka Katayama

Madoka Katayama currently serves as Senior Director of User Experience at Scopely, a position held since June 2025, following the acquisition of Niantic Games and its Game Platform. Prior to this role, Madoka was with Niantic, Inc. from March 2018 to August 2025, where responsibilities included Senior Director of User Experience and Head of Niantic UX, focusing on major projects like Pikmin Bloom and Monster Hunter Now. Early in the career, Madoka gained experience at Google from 2011 to February 2018, starting as a Senior UX Designer and later becoming a UX Design Manager, working on Google Maps and other platforms. Academic qualifications include a degree from Carnegie Mellon University, obtained between 2001 and 2006.
