Matt Somerville

Matt Somerville, CPA, currently serves as the Director of Accounting at Scopely, focusing on post-acquisition transition services, particularly in revenue accounting and technical projects since May 2025. Prior to this role, Matt was the Director of Revenue Accounting at Niantic, Inc., leading global revenue accounting, system management, and monetization platform accounting, contributing significantly to the company's acquisition by Scopely. Matt's career in accounting began at PwC as an Assurance Associate, followed by numerous positions at Zynga, where Matt progressed from Senior Accountant to Director, overseeing corporate accounting and contributing to IPO readiness. Matt holds a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.
