Matthew Sheets is a seasoned game designer with extensive experience in character design and combat systems. Currently serving as Director of Characters and Combat at Scopely since July 2020, Matthew leads a team focused on combat design, implementation, and balance. Previously, Matthew worked at FoxNext as a Game Designer, ensuring the quality of character design across multiple departments. Prior experience includes a role as Systems Designer at Obsidian Entertainment, contributing to "Pillars of Eternity 2" through the design of items, creatures, and abilities, as well as leading QA testing for the original "Pillars of Eternity." Earlier in Matthew's career at Sony Computer Entertainment, leadership in Quality Assurance testing included mentoring and managing QA testers on various projects.
