Steffen Vala

Steffen Vala is an experienced artist and designer with a diverse background in interactive entertainment and animation. Currently serving as Lead 3D OS Supervisor and Art Lead for Live Ops at Scopely since May 2023, Vala has been instrumental in art directing Live Ops assets for the game Kingdom Maker. Prior to this role, Vala worked as a Senior Artist at Boundless Entertainment, focusing on marketing art for Marvel Strike Force, and contributed to pipeline improvements in 2D-3D workflows. With a solid foundation in character animation and digital imaging, Vala has held various positions including Senior Multimedia Designer at XYO Network, Lead 3D Artist at Miria Studios (where the game Ley Lines gained recognition on Steam), and Sr. Motion Graphic Designer at Coalmine Canary LLC. Vala's education includes a Master of Science in Interactive Entertainment from the Florida Interactive Entertainment Academy and a Master of Arts in Character Animation from the University of the Arts London, complemented by a BFA in Traditional Animation from the School of Visual Arts.
