⌨ William Pheloung

William Pheloung is a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer at Scopely, specializing in projects for Pokémon Go since May 2025. Additionally, William serves as a board member for Seattle Indies, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting independent game developers in Seattle. As the lead programmer and executive producer for the independent game _keyboardkommander, William has focused on community engagement and localization features. Prior experience includes a Senior Software Engineer role at Niantic, where William developed Pokémon Go Gift Cards and updated the Pokedex menu, as well as a Senior Systems Software Engineer position at HakJak Productions, where testing frameworks were established for game development. William's background also features significant contributions at Microsoft across various roles, including software engineer and intern positions where usability improvements and new functionalities were implemented for Xbox tools and TSQL modules. William holds a dual major in Computer Science and Games and Simulation Arts and Sciences from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and completed a communication skills program at the University of Central Missouri.
