Bilal Kabas

Bilal Kabas is an experienced AI Engineer currently employed at Scopic since August 2025 and also serves as a Graduate Researcher at UMRAM since September 2022. Bilal has developed expertise in generative models, deep learning architectures for image synthesis and reconstruction, and visual language models. Prior roles include AI Research Engineer at Aselsan, where Bilal worked on intrusion detection and sound event detection using deep learning, as well as High-Speed Weigh-in-Motion systems. Bilal's research experience began at Abdullah Gül University, focusing on autonomous UAV navigation and mobile robotics, culminating in participation in the 2020 TUBITAK International UAV Competition. Bilal holds a Master of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Bilkent University and a Bachelor of Science degree from Abdullah Gül University.
