Andre Smet has extensive experience in the insurance industry, currently serving as Deputy CEO at SCOR Global Life Belux since February 2002. Prior to this role, Andre worked as a Senior Underwriter in the Life department at QBE Re - Secura branch from November 1997 to January 2002. Andre's career began at KBC Verzekeringen as a Senior EB consultant from August 1986 to October 1997, and earlier as a Financial Engineer at Boelwerf NV from March 1984 to July 1986. Andre also held the position of National Director for Belgium at AFS Intercultural Programs from May 1981 to February 1984. Andre holds a Lic. TEW degree in Economics, Politics, and Communication from K.U. Leuven, completed between 1973 and 1979.
