John Elbare

John Elbare, MBA, has extensive experience in philanthropy and business mentorship. Currently serving as a SCORE Volunteer Business Mentor since February 2023, John works with entrepreneurs and small business owners in Central Florida. As the Owner and Founder of Florida Philanthropic Advisors, LLC from July 2000 to October 2022, John provided consulting and coaching services to non-profit organizations to enhance their fundraising efforts. John's past roles include Interim Executive Director at the Evolution Institute, Director of Philanthropy for the Southeastern Region at the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, and Director of Philanthropy at the Special Operations Warrior Foundation. Additionally, John held leadership positions such as President of the AFP - Suncoast Florida Chapter and the Financial Planning Association of Tampa Bay, and served as a Charitable Gift Planner at Moffitt Cancer Center. John holds an MBA in Marketing and a BA in Anthropology from the University of South Florida.
