Steven Smith

Steven Smith is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in business development, coaching, and analytics across various industries. Currently serving as a Messaging Coach at M4th since 2019, Steven specializes in aligning companies' messaging with customer needs. As the CEO of 4th Story, a company co-founded in 2003 that provides software for automated analytics and trading, Steven plays a key outward-facing role. Additionally, Steven has contributed as a Business Mentor for SCORE Mentors since 2018 and previously held positions including Chapter Chair at SCORE Mentors San Francisco, where leadership led to significant successes despite challenges posed by Covid. Early career roles included Director of Information Systems at Hambrecht & Quist, VP of Business Development at ePIT Systems, and various management positions at Charles Schwab, Bank of California, and Utopia Technology Partners, Inc. Steven holds degrees from McGill University and the Thunderbird School of Global Management.
