Thane Brown

Thane Brown is a seasoned business consultant with SCORE Mentors since 2010, specializing in advising small and startup businesses in the Cincinnati area. With extensive experience in academia, Thane serves as a guest lecturer at various universities, covering topics such as “Success Factors in Industry and Life” and “Investing Fundamentals.” Additionally, Thane is a member of Chemical Engineering Advisory Boards at several institutions, having chaired the board at the University of Dayton from 2007 to 2010. An accomplished author, Thane has published works including "Engineering Economics and Economic Design for Process Engineers." Previous roles include Adjunct Professor at the University of Cincinnati and University of Dayton, along with a long tenure at Procter & Gamble as the Manager of North American Engineering. Thane's early career includes service as an officer in the U.S. Army, where recognition was earned through the "Army Commendation Medal." Thane holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Oregon State University.
