James Bates

James Bates has extensive work experience in the software development field. James currently holds the position of Lead Software Developer at Scorpion, where they started in April 2022. Prior to this role, they served as a Senior Software Developer at Scorpion from August 2020 to April 2022. Before joining Scorpion, James worked as a Senior Software Engineer at GE Aviation from January 2019 to June 2020. James also held the position of Senior Software Engineer at GE Digital from March 2018 to January 2019 and Software Engineer from January 2017 to March 2018. Additionally, James gained experience as a Software Engineer at GE Power from January 2016 to January 2017. James began their career in the software industry as a Senior Software Engineering Apprentice at GE Capital, where they participated in the GE software apprenticeship program from January 2014 to January 2016. James also has experience in the gaming industry, having served as the North American Quality Assurance Leader at Faultline Games Ltd from October 2014 to October 2015.

James Bates received their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science from the University of New Orleans. James attended the university from 2010 to 2014. In addition to their degree, James also obtained a certification as a Certified Scrum Master from the Scrum Alliance in May 2015.
