Scotia Pipers supply bagpipers and other related Scottish music for the Wedding, Corporate and Tourism industries throughout the UK

The company was founded in 1998 under the banner of ‘Piper for all Occasions’. Back then it was only one man and has bagpipe. Demand quickly exceeded availability so I decided to bring onboard some friends of comparable ability to help deliver top class bagpipers to all of our clients. I was becoming disillusioned and upset that there were pipers out there working commercially who had little or no musicianship, poorly turned out and unreliable. I wanted to build a name that could be trusted with reputable customer friendly pipers. In 2000 Scotia Pipers were formed. I developed the criteria that each bagpiper must have and have continued to strive for perfection since this day. Our first website went up in 2001. 2002 was a big year for us with our first foreign wedding, first radio appearance, and first television appearance, supplying a piper for GMTV to pipe in a haggis for Nick Nairn. In 2003 we launched our Wedding CD to help couples choose their wedding bagpipe music. 2004 saw our business double in size. We also had the highlight of supplying pipers for the British Embassy in Athens and Samsung for the 2004 Olympics in Athens. In 2005 the business doubled in size again beating our record sales month three times in one year. Similar patterns emerged in 2006 and 2007. In 2007 we were absolutely delighted to win a VOWS Award for music and Entertainment. With the economic downturn in 2008 the Wedding industry was in decline, though we did manage to grow the company slightly on the previous year, which was a fantastic performance given the situation. 2009 was an exciting year, with it being Scotland’s Homecoming, we also forged some good new relationships which led to our best ever year.  2010 will see the launch of our new website, which will keep us at the forefront on our strive for perfection.
