I've been a journalist for over 30 years and I'm still a freelance working journalist today with contacts at a local, regional and national level. I started my media consultancy in 2008 and have, over time, provided PR support and training, ad hoc support, strategy planning and crisis management. I also have experience in helping large organisations build media relations into their disaster recovery plans. As my consultancy has grown I have started to work with other media professionals to deliver client stories and send them out to the media. Therefore often a client will get two or three qualified media professionals working on their project when they initially thought they were working with a one-woman band. I also offer online courses and media workshops for those in business - or in a charity - who have limited budgets yet still want to be educated around PR. These are easily found on my website. Clients I have worked with included Dragons' Den entrepreneurs Ed Hollands of DrivenMedia, Julianne Ponan of Creative Nature, London Speech Workshop, Jomas Associates, Wiltshire Fire & Rescue Service, John Williams Heating Services, Sinclair, Galderma, Big Van World, property expert Mandy St John Davey, child trauma expert Jane Evans and many more. I have offered crisis management advice to a national recruitment brand, a local authority, two members of parliament (not local to me), a utility company and others. I'm also a working journalist providing stories for The Business Exchange Swindon & Wiltshire, Bath & Somerset, Total Guide to..., Wiltshire Life and I'm a regular contributor to BBC Wiltshire, and the national press including The Guardian, The Daily Telegraph, The Daily Mail and Woman & Home. I'm a strong believer that in telling others to 'walk a walk' I should do the same. I'm also an experienced television producer/director and have worked on The One Show, Flog It!, Wales This Week, The West This Week and West Eye View, The Bargain Hunters, Beat The Dealer
