Peter McLaughlin

Head Of Security & Integrity at Scottish FA

Peter McLaughlin has extensive work experience in security and integrity roles. Peter began their career in 1975 as a Constable with Strathclyde Police, where they held various ranks until becoming a Superintendent in 2005. From 2007 to 2014, they worked as a Compliance Manager at Disclosure Scotland. Since 2014, Peter has been working as the Head of Security & Integrity at the Scottish Football Association, where they are responsible for ensuring a safe and secure environment for all national teams and supporters. In this role, they also lead on matters related to gambling rules, match fixing, anti-doping, and the development of education programs to combat match fixing and doping in football.

Peter McLaughlin attended Bell College Hamilton from 1988 to 1990, where they obtained an HNC in Police Studies. Peter also holds an NVQ Level 4 in Spectator Safety Management from City & Guilds, although the specific dates of completion are not mentioned.
