Run by a volunteer committee, Scottish Museums Federation is a membership body for anyone interested in the Scottish museums and galleries sector. Founded in 1937, we support our membership with professional development, networking and informative discussion.

We have members throughout Scotland from local authorities, universities, national and independent museums and galleries. Membership is open to all and we welcome curators, collections managers, registrars, museum assistants, volunteers, students, education staff and senior managers. Joining is great way to share knowledge and information, as well as meet new people to add to your professional network.
