SWAP works in partnership with local colleges and universities throughout Scotland.  SWAP offers programmes that are designed specifically for adults who wish to study at university but who lack the required entry qualifications. Successful completion of the SWAP programme at a local college can provide guaranteed progression to a university course.  

Since the launch of SWAP in 1988 more than 27,000 adults have taken the SWAP route to return to study.  Staff in local SWAP offices are available to offer independent advice and guidance.
