Marcel Kind earned a bachelor degree in law and specialized in the marine and terminal industry, with a focus on SHEQ-management and the compliance of dangerous goods. They are the CEO and founder of Simwave, which operates comprehensive maritime simulation training centres equipped with simulators based on world-leading simulation technology, focusing on bridge, engine room, cargo, and emergency response. They are Chairman of the Board at Scoutbase, a role they have held since 2022. They also act as Managing Director of Transafe B.V. and consultant, designing and supporting processes, advising about the classification of dangerous goods, and supporting safety, health, environment and quality-related issues.
