CEO and Co-founder at Screaming Bee

Mark Ramirez has over 25 years of work experience in the technology and medical fields. In 1997, they founded Torchworks Software, and then in 1995 they began working as a Family Physician at Westonka Medical Center. In 2000, they joined Sonic Foundry as a Software Engineer, where they integrated desktop Win32 applications with Sony multimedia publishing Web site, implemented custom marketing components using COM/ATL, and created a multimedia workflow manager using multi-tier J2EE framework. In 2003, they began working at DNASTAR as a Senior Software Engineer, where they developed software for visualization of customer microarray data distributed with NimbleGen, Inc., created a C++ cross-platform high-quality 2-D graphics library, and created genetic sequencing software for development of plasmid construction, map creation and editing of DNA and RNA sequences. Finally, in 2005 they became the CEO and Co-founder of Screaming Bee Inc., where they directed design and development of novel desktop, mobile, and web-based products for voice communication, online gaming, social media, and multimedia studios, and was responsible for marketing and sales strategy.

Mark Ramirez attended the University of North Dakota from 1984 to 1988, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. Mark then attended the University of Minnesota Medical School from 1988 to 1992, where they earned a Doctor of Medicine. From 1992 to 1995, they completed a Family Practice Residency at the University of Minnesota Medical School.
