Michael Martin

Michael Martin has had a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. Michael began their career as the Founder of Pro Blog Design in 2007, where they provided professional web design services and specialized in WordPress blog design. Michael worked with clients ranging from individual bloggers to large political organizations. In 2012, they joined BT as a Software Engineer, working on a team that developed BT's video-on-demand app for YouView. In 2013, they joined Deloitte Digital as a Senior Consultant, leading the design and development of complex webapps with a focus on JavaScript. Michael later became Tech Lead, leading the technical design and build of modern webapps for clients. In 2018, they joined ScreenCloud - Digital Signage as the Head of Frontend Development and Design, where they were responsible for starting the Belfast office and overseeing all frontend development. Most recently, they became the Director of Engineering & Site Lead (Belfast), with the mission of driving the development of ScreenCloud Apps. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated expertise in JavaScript development, with experience in React, Angular, ES6, TypeScript, Node.js, Webpack, and other modern frontend tools.

Michael Martin attended Queen's University Belfast from 2008 to 2012, where they earned a BEng in Computer Science. In addition to their academic degree, they obtained additional certifications such as "Node.js for JavaScript Developers" from NobleProg in July 2017 and "Certified ScrumMaster" from Scrum Alliance in May 2014.
