Chris Johnson

Chris Johnson is a seasoned producer and consultant in the creative industry, currently serving as a Producer at ART MEANS BUSINESS (AMB) since October 2023, focusing on developing international feature films and episodic dramas for adult audiences. With a consulting role at CJ Advisors since 2003, Chris provides advisory services to writers, directors, and producers in the film, TV, and theatre sectors. As a mentor for new producers at ScreenSkills since February 2022, Chris contributes to the growth and skill development in the UK screen industries. Previous roles include producing and development at The Thing Is..., where Chris facilitated market access for filmmakers, and holding the position of Managing Director and Founder at VITA, specializing in the distribution of contemporary Italian cinema. As a founder of Criminal Productions, Chris oversaw development, financing, and distribution efforts, adding to a diverse career that began with positions in media consultancy and business development at Pioneer. Chris holds a BA (Hons) from the University of East London and has further education from the University of Birmingham.
