Venkata Pingali

Venkata Pingali has a long and varied work experience. Venkata started their career in 1997 as a Sr. Software Engineer at Cabletron Systems. In 1999, they moved to the University of Utah to pursue a Master's degree in which they worked on optimization approaches to reduce the impact of memory latency on high performance applications. In 2001, they began a Ph.D. at the USC Information Sciences Institute, focusing on architectural issues in the Internet. From 2003 to 2010, they volunteered with Asha for Education, working on general organizational and project-related coordination. In 2010, they began working as a Scientist at an Industrial R&D Lab. In 2012, they founded and became CEO of eLuminos, a cloud-based secure low-cost energy-centric intelligence platform. In 2013, they moved to FourthLion Technologies as VP of Analytics, handling end-to-end data and analytical needs. In 2016, they co-founded and became CEO of Scribble Data, whose flagship product, Enrich, is a second generation Machine Learning Feature Engineering platform. Finally, in 2019, they began advising startups.

Venkata Pingali's education history consists of a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD from the University of Southern California, a PhD in Computer Networks from the University of Southern California from 2001 to 2008, a MS in Computer Science from the University of Utah from 1999 to 2001, and a B.Tech in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay from 1992 to 1996.
