Andrew is focused on transforming publishing, building business cases for new technologies, and creating business models that content owners can say yes to. His ambition to expand Scribd’s library will increase consumer engagement and subscriptions over the long-term as he brings Scribd’s value of “Crafting a Timeless Tale” to life. From co-founding a digital start-up that helped authors self-publish in 1999 to spending 11 years at Ingram, Andrew has spearheaded industry changes for over two decades. Andrew now leads Scribd’s content strategy and licensing negotiations, building the most diverse library of content available via a single reading subscription service. For example, he signed the first major publishers to Scribd and launched Scribd Originals, which features ambitious, original fiction and nonfiction, available exclusively on Scribd. At Ingram’s Lightning Source, Andrew initially helped build and launch Ingram’s first ever digital fulfillment service for ebooks. He then evangelized print on demand as a necessary part of every publisher's sales strategies. Later, Andrew was tapped to be a founding member of Ingram Digital Group, where he led the effort to acquire education technology company VitalSource Technologies (recently acquired by Francisco Partners) and the creation of the CoreSource Digital Asset Management service. Andrew was also a board member of the trade association Book Industry Study Group from 2014-2018. He holds a B.A. in Economics from Brandeis University and an MBA in Finance and Marketing from New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business. Andrew’s innovative prowess and foresight is influenced by How Will You Measure Your Life?, a book of inspiration and wisdom by Clay M. Christensen, the man whose business book Steve Jobs said “deeply influenced” him.
