Chris Taylor

Chris Taylor is an experienced technology professional with a strong background in software engineering and management. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering at Scribd, Inc. since March 2018, Chris has progressed through various roles including Senior Engineering Manager and Engineering Manager for Internal Tools. Prior to this, Chris worked as an Independent Software Consultant, delivering expertise in technologies such as Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, and Python. Chris began the career at Scribd in 2013 as a Software Engineering Intern, later holding roles as a Software Engineer, and has also gained experience at companies like Funzio Inc., RBC Royal Bank, and The Working Group. Chris holds a Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering from the University of Waterloo, acquired in 2014.
