Jeroen Gijzen

Jeroen Gijzen has an extensive work experience in finance and accounting. Jeroen started their career as an Audit Manager at Deloitte in 1998 and worked there until 2002. Jeroen then worked at TNT, where they served as the Business Controller Divisional Head Office from 2004 to 2007, overseeing financial operations for the US division. Jeroen also worked as the Internal Audit Manager at Corporate Audit Services, where they conducted audits worldwide.

After that, Gijzen joined Exigen Group as the Corporate Controller from 2007 to 2009. Here, they were responsible for building and managing the finance and accounting department, as well as financial reporting, budgeting, system conversions, and annual audits, among other duties.

From 2009 to 2012, Gijzen worked as the Assistant Controller at ServiceSource, playing a crucial role in preparing for the company's successful IPO. Jeroen managed the accounting team and handled documentation of accounting policies, stock-based compensation accounting, international consolidation, and foreign currency reporting.

Gijzen then joined Validant as the Corporate Controller/Finance Director from 2012 to 2015. Their responsibilities included financial and management reporting, system conversions, annual audits, debt financing, international reporting and tax structures, and preparation for an exit strategy.

In 2015, Gijzen joined Penumbra, Inc. as the Corporate Controller, where they were in charge of various accounting tasks such as monthly, quarterly, and yearly close, worldwide cash reporting, consolidation, external audit management, and ensuring GAAP compliance.

After Penumbra, they worked at Kraken Digital Asset Exchange as the Controller from 2017 to 2018 and at Life360 as the Corporate Controller from 2018 to 2021. In both roles, they were responsible for financial and accounting operations.

Currently, Gijzen works as the Corporate Controller at Scribd, a position they have held since 2021.

Jeroen Gijzen attended Maastricht University from 1993 to 1998. In this period, they pursued an MBA degree with a specialization in Accounting and Finance.
