Simona Chiola

Simona Chiola, MCIPD, has a range of experience in the field of human resources. Simona currently holds the role of Director of People at Scribd, starting in May 2021. Prior to that, they worked as the Talent Management Director at EssenceMediacom from December 2018 to May 2021. Simona also has experience at SpaceX, where they held the position of Senior Manager, Human Resources from August 2017 to December 2018, and briefly worked as an HR Consultant from March 2017 to July 2017. Before their time at SpaceX, Simona was at Mindshare, starting as an HR Executive in July 2005 and progressing to the roles of HR Advisor, HR Manager, and finally HR Business Partner from November 2007 to December 2016. Simona began their career as an HR Administrator at the University of Westminster, London in October 2004, further demonstrating their dedication to the field of HR.

Simona Chiola, MCIPD, attended the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) from 2003 to 2004, where they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Human Resources Management. Prior to that, from 1996 to 2002, they attended the University of 'G. D'Annunzio', Dipartimento di Studi Aziendali, in Pescara, Italy, where they obtained an MSc degree in Finance, Accountancy, and Economics. In addition to their formal education, Simona Chiola has also obtained two certifications. In November 2017, they obtained a Coaching Certificate from the Association for Talent Development (ATD), and in July 2007, they obtained the Chartered Membership Qualification from the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).
