Ashley Hoover has work experience spanning over a decade with a range of roles in the fields of recreation, event coordination, and customer service. Ashley worked as a Barista at Soma Coffeehouse & Juice Bar and also as a Promotions Team member at Indianapolis Indians in 2010. In 2013, they worked as an Instructor at Reach High Consulting and Therapy. In 2014, they worked as a Graduate Intern at Noblesville Parks and Recreation where they were involved in various aspects of special event planning, community outreach and customer service. Ashley also provided clubhouse support for USGA 2014 U.S. Women's Mid-Amateur. In 2015, Ashley worked as Recreation Specialist at the City of Charleston and Youth Specialist at Town of Mount Pleasant. At Charleston County Park & Recreation Commission, Ashley served in various roles such as Special Event & Festival Aide, Accessible Recreation Aide, and Recreation Administrative Manager from 2015 to 2022. Ashley'sresponsibilities included managing accessible recreation programs and services, volunteer recruitment and coordination, event planning, and directing administrative support in park and recreational facilities. Currently, Ashley works as an Accessibility Manager at Scribely.
Ashley Hoover started their education at Noblesville High School from 2005 to 2009 and received an Honors diploma. Ashley then pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology from Indiana University Bloomington from 2009 to 2013. In 2014, Ashley returned to Indiana University Bloomington and studied Recreational Therapy from 2014 to 2017. Recently, in 2022, they attended Designlab. Ashley also received several certifications, including Certified Park and Recreation Professional (CPRP) from the National Recreation and Park Association, and Certified ADA Coordinator from Great Plains ADA Center in 2021 and 2020, respectively. In 2022, they completed the Introduction to Web Accessibility course from W3Cx.
