John D Suarez

John D Suarez has extensive experience in broadcast operations, currently serving as the Director of Operations at The E.W. Scripps Company since 2002, overseeing the management and training of newscast teams and technical staff across multiple studios and control rooms. Previously, John held the role of Senior Broadcast Director and Studio Lighting Director for 10News, directing key morning and midday broadcasts. John’s background includes positions as Stage Manager for the MDA Telethon in Los Angeles, Technical Director and ENG Truck Operator at McGraw Hill Broadcasting / KGTV, and part of the production crew at KPBS. John has pursued studies at San Diego State University and Pasadena City College.
