Sean Simpson

Sean Simpson is an accomplished technology professional with extensive experience in information security, cloud operations, and engineering management. Currently serving as the Lead Security Engineer at The E.W. Scripps Company since January 2019, Sean focuses on securing cloud infrastructure and web applications. Prior roles include Director of Engineering at Stitcher, overseeing cloud operations, security, and application development, and Director of Engineering at Deezer, responsible for integrating data and APIs during product mergers. Sean's career also includes significant positions at Stitcher as Director of Operations, managing server architecture and applications, as well as foundational roles such as Founder/CTO of Outside The Box and CIO of Virtually Commerce Corporation. Education includes a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Montclair State University and studies at UC San Diego.
